Down Stream Access

Down Stream Access is the process of injecting bulk mail into the downstream side of the Royal Mail network for final delivery by the Royal Mail. The collection of the mail, and it's sortation and trunking is handled by the carrier. The DSA carrier is expected to comply with a rigid set of requirements for information transfer via the Royal Mail Wholesale IT systems. Pinesoft have been heavily involved with DSA, and all of the services supported by the RM Wholesale systems, almost from the beginning of the deregulation of the UK mail market.
